In a desperate attempt to kill the troggs, High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque ordered the gnomes to open the pressure valves of their giant, grinding machinery, which ultimately destroyed the city. The gnomes, now known as the Gnomeregan Exiles, have been forced to flee their home and seek refuge in Ironforge, where they have established a new settlement in the Tinkertown section. They are currently a member of the Alliance and are led by High Tinker Mekkatorque. | ||
