- The main purpose of Ethereal Crests is gear upgrades. For example, the Ergospheric Cudgel can raise Veteran/Champion gear from The War Within Season 3 from item level 675 to 684.
- They also serve as crafting reagents—Enchanters use them to make Enchanted Runed Ethereal Crests, which determine the item level range for crafted gear.
- Unlike regular loot, Ethereal Crests don’t clutter your bags—they’re stored in your Currencies tab.
- One key note: They’re exclusive to PvE and can’t be used to upgrade PvP gear.
