Midnight Bosses Overview
| Imperator Averzian | The supreme commander of the Midnight forces, Imperator Averzian combines overwhelming power with strict battlefield control. Expect heavy raid-wide damage and punishing mechanics that test positioning and coordination. |
| Vorasius | A volatile Void entity that thrives on chaos, Vorasius floods the arena with unstable energy zones. Players must constantly adapt to shifting mechanics and avoid deadly overlaps. |
| Fallen-King Salhadaar | Once a noble ruler, now corrupted by the Void, Salhadaar commands dark forces with ruthless precision. This encounter features strong add control and high burst damage phases. |
| Vaelgor & Ezzorak | A deadly duo that must be fought together, each boss brings unique mechanics that complement one another. Coordination is key, as failing to manage both targets can quickly overwhelm the raid. |
| Lightblinded Vanguard | Elite defenders infused with unstable Light energy. This fight revolves around managing blinding effects and surviving intense bursts of Holy damage. |
| Crown of the Cosmos | A mysterious cosmic entity channeling celestial power. The encounter challenges players with complex mechanics, movement requirements, and high sustained damage. |
| Chimaerus, the Undreamt God | An ancient nightmare made manifest, Chimaerus distorts reality itself. Expect unpredictable mechanics, fear effects, and heavy pressure on both healers and DPS. |
| Belo'ren, Child of Al'ar | A void-corrupted phoenix that shifts between Light and Shadow abilities. The fight includes a rebirth phase — if not handled properly, you’ll have to defeat him twice. |
| Midnight Falls | The final boss of the March on Quel'Danas raid and the ultimate challenge. A high-intensity encounter with devastating Void mechanics, phase transitions, and powerful rewards. |
| Rotmire | The final boss of the Sporefall raid, Rotmire is a fungal monstrosity that tests your raid's coordination with waves of adds, shrinking safe zones, and heavy raid-wide damage. |
| Nek'zali the Soulcoiler | The opening encounter of The Venomous Abyss, Nek'zali performs a Ritual of Awakening inside the Temple of Ula'tek, calling other Soulcoilers from their tombs. This fight tests the raid's ability to handle multiple add waves and interrupt crucial rituals. |
| Entombed Sentinels | A two-golem encounter featuring Breath of Ula'tek and Blood of Ula'tek. Standing too close to the wrong golem is a fatal mistake. Players must manage positioning and coordinate damage between both constructs. |
| Vashnik the Malignant | Working from the Chamber of Virulence, Vashnik distills Ula'tek's venoms into new and considerably worse toxins. This encounter features heavy raid-wide damage and requires careful management of stacking debuffs. |
| The Lost Explorers | A trio of possessed tortollans led by Mor'zahi. Unusually for a WoW encounter, they are mostly on your side — players must assist them rather than defeat them outright, making this a unique mechanical fight. |
| Sszorak | Channels Ula'tek's venom into raw fury and howling wind. This fight introduces the raid's first real jumping puzzle mechanic, requiring precise movement while handling dangerous area-of-effect abilities. |
| The Twin Fangs | Vexhul and Ithraz guard the inner sanctum with a shared feeding mechanic that punishes sloppy add control. Coordination between tanks and DPS is essential to prevent the bosses from empowering each other. |
| The Bargained Crown | An ancient golem construct infused with Ula'tek's power. This encounter tests the raid's ability to handle heavy tank damage and precise positioning while managing void-infused area denial mechanics. |
| Ula'tek | The final boss of The Venomous Abyss — a five-headed snake goddess imprisoned for 16,000 years and released by Zul'jan. This intense encounter features devastating Void mechanics, phase transitions, and some of the highest item level rewards in Midnight Season 2, including Cantrip Armor and exclusive weapons. |
About The Venomous Abyss Raid
The Venomous Abyss is the second raid tier of the Midnight expansion, introduced with the Curse of Ula'tek content update. Located beneath the new Coiled Isle zone, this Amani troll-themed raid consists of 8 bosses split across three wings for Raid Finder groups, and is available on Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties.
Ula'tek herself is a serpent goddess once worshipped by the Amani of Zul'Aman, imprisoned for over sixteen thousand years after proving too dangerous even for her creators. A troll named Zul'jan, guided by the spirit Malacrass, manages to set her loose again, and Zul'jarra spends the entire patch chasing her wayward brother across the isle trying to undo the damage.
The raid drops unique weapons seeping with poison, Cantrip Armor (special effect gear featuring a proc that increases a secondary stat while reducing all others), and tier tokens that can be collected across all difficulties.
