WoW Engineering Leveling Guide in Midnight

Engineering in Midnight is a profession that lets you craft gadgets, guns, profession tools, battle‑rez items, and even housing décor. It pairs perfectly with Mining – most materials like Evercore and Pile of Junk come from mining nodes or scrap drops, saving you a fortune on the Auction House.

In Midnight, Engineering is built around a Recycling system (similar to the discovery system in TWW but simpler). After skill level 25, you’ll unlock specializations and use Recycling to discover most of your advanced recipes. The trainer and crafting anvil are right next to each other – you can learn recipes and start crafting immediately.

Why Engineering is Useful in Midnight

Engineering has always been the go‑to profession for fun and useful gadgets, and Midnight keeps that tradition alive.

• Battle Rez and Utility – Engineers can craft Emergency Soul Link (a battle resurrection item) and M3DDY, a robot that resurrects allies. These are in high demand for raids and Mythic+.
• Crafted Gear – Goggles (Engineer‑only), bracers (anyone can wear), and guns for Hunters. Specialized bracers and goggles allow players to slot Bits and Bots (customisable cogwheels) for extra stats.
• Housing Décor – New in Midnight, Engineers can craft void‑themed decorations like Ren’dorei Stargazer, Void Projector, and Warp Orb. These sell well on the Auction House or can be used in your own home.
• Weapon Scopes – Four new scopes, some permanent, some 60‑minute enchants for ranged weapons.
• Profession Tools – Engineers craft multitools and headlamps for Miners, Jewelcrafters, Tailors, and other Engineers. These are always in demand.

Midnight Engineering Specs Explained

You unlock specializations at skill level 25 using Knowledge Points (earned from First Craft bonuses, treasures, and recycling). There are four trees; you can eventually max all, but early choices matter.

Recommended first 10–20 Knowledge Points: Put them into Recycling to unlock recipe discovery and boost your Recycling yield. Without that, you won’t get most of the advanced recipes.

Engineering Tools & Accessories

To craft efficiently, you’ll need profession equipment. Some are made by Engineering, others by Leatherworking.

Enchantments:

• For Concentration‑based crafting, use Enchant Tool – Ren’dorei Ingenuity.
• For mass‑producing bits and cogwheels, use Enchant Tool – Haranir Multicrafting.

Leveling Engineering 1-80

Before you start, gather these materials. Quality (Rank) does not matter.

Note: RNG on skill‑ups may require slightly more.

Level 1-31: Evercore Shade

• Recipe: Evercore Shade (trainer)
• Materials: 1 Evercore each
• Craft: 15 times → reach skill 31.

Level 31–40: Evercore Dome Dinger

• Recipe: Evercore Dome Dinger (trainer)
• Materials: 3 Pile of Junk + 1 Evercore per craft
• Craft: 12 times (recipe will turn Yellow) → reach skill 40.

Unlock Recycling (skill 25+)

• At skill 25, visit the trainer and unlock specializations. Spend your first 10 Knowledge Points on Recycling.
• Now you can use the Recycling ability on any cheap crafted reagent (e.g., Powder Pigment from Inscription, or any Engineering component). Each recycle has a chance to discover new recipes.

Level 40–70: Craft Discovered Armor (e.g., Quel’dorei Guards)

• Materials: 5 Pile of Junk + 1 Malleable Wireframe + 1 Evercore per craft
• Craft: 30 pieces → reach skill 70.

Level 70–75: Quel’dorei Bracelets

• Same materials as above.
• Craft: 7 pieces (Yellow recipe) → reach skill 75.

Level 75–80: Quel’dorei Bands

• Same materials.
• Craft: 12 pieces (Green recipe) → reach skill 80.

Leveling Engineering 80-100

After 80, trainer recipes stop giving skill. You now have three options.

Option 1 – Profession Equipment (Fast but Expensive)

• Unlock a Rare Profession Tool recipe (e.g., Turbo‑Junker’s Multitool) via Market Mobility specialization.
• Mass craft these. They give skill points up to 100 (Yellow 80–90, Green 90–100).

Cost: High (materials like Aetherlume and Majestic parts), but you can sell extras or use Crafting Orders.

Option 2 – Crafting Orders (Cheapest)

Advertise in trade chat or use the Crafting Orders UI to fulfil requests for:

• Goggles (Combat Analytics)
• Bracers
• Profession tools

Each order gives 2–3 skill points, and customers often provide the materials.

Option 3 – Housing Décor (Passive)

• Craft Ren’dorei items (Stargazer, Void Projector, etc.) – these are discovered via Recycling.
• Each new décor gives a First Craft bonus and skill points.
• Sell extras on the Auction House – demand is steady from collectors.

• With profession equipment spam: 2–3 hours (expensive).
