Is King’s Fall Farmable?

How to Farm King's Fall

You can farm King’s Fall in two ways: by spending Spoils of Conquest at the raid vendor or by running the raid when it’s the featured weekly raid.

Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to farming the KF raid:

icon Step 1: Prepare for the Raid

  • Fireteam: Assemble a group of 6 players. Utilize LFG (Looking for Group) tools if necessary.
  • Loadout: Equip strong boss damage weapons like Sleeper Simulant, Whisper of the Worm, or Thunderlord, and add-clear weapons like auto rifles or grenade launchers.

icon Step 2: Farm When King’s Fall is Featured

  • King’s Fall is fully farmable when it’s the weekly featured raid. Check the weekly reset to see if it’s featured.
  • You can repeatedly run the raid on the same character to collect loot from each encounter when it’s the featured raid.

icon Step 3: Use Spoils of Conquest

  • After defeating Oryx, you’ll find a chest called Cache of the King.
  • Use 20 Spoils of Conquest per item to buy weapons or armor you’ve already unlocked.
  • Earn Spoils by running other raids or finishing encounters in King’s Fall.

icon Step 4: Locate Hidden Chests

  • There are two hidden chests in King’s Fall. They drop mods and gear you’ve already earned.
    • First Hidden Chest: Located after the first encounter, in the Tomb Ship jumping puzzle.
    • Second Hidden Chest: Found after the Golgoroth encounter, in the maze section.
  • These chests can drop mods like Enhanced Taken Spec or gear you’ve previously collected.

icon Step 5: Complete Challenges for Better Rewards

  • Each encounter has a weekly challenge that boosts your chances of getting Deepsight Resonance weapons and increases Exotic drop rates.
  • Check the weekly raid challenge and complete it for extra loot.

Following these steps will help you efficiently farm King’s Fall for its powerful weapons, armor, and Exotic rewards.

King’s Fall Weapons

King's Fall Weapons

The King’s Fall raid in Destiny 2 offers an Exotic weapon called Touch of Malice and 6 Legendary weapons, each with unique abilities and elemental properties.

Here is a list of the weapons you can get from the King’s Fall raid:

Touch of Malice Kinetic SR

Touch of Malice

Weapon Name: Touch of Malice
Weapon Type: Scout Rifle Scout Rifle
Tier Rank: Tier-A A (PvE), Tier-C C (PvP)
Slot: Kinetic Kinetic
Ammo: Primary Primary
Archetype: Exotic
Perks: Barrel: Polygonal Rifling
Magazine: Flared Magwell
Origin Trait: Charged with Blight
Stock: Hand-Laid Stock
Exotic Trait: Touch of Malice: The final round in the magazine deals bonus damage, drawing from the wielder’s life force, and then regenerates itself. Rapidly defeating 3 targets restores health. Guardians and powerful combatants count as more than one defeated target.
Charged with Blight: Precision hits drain combatants’ life force and charge up a ball of Darkness. [Alternate Weapon Action] and then fire to unleash the blight projectile, shrouding combatants in Darkness and temporarily blinding them.
Is this weapon worth farming? Yes, but with caveats. Touch of Malice is a strong Exotic Scout Rifle, especially in PvE. It deals bonus damage with its final round and has health regeneration mechanics. However, it competes with other Exotic weapons that might be more versatile or powerful in certain scenarios.
How to Get it? Touch of Malice can only be acquired by defeating the final boss, Oryx, in the King’s Fall Raid. It drops randomly upon completion, with an estimated base drop rate of 5%. Completing Triumphs in the raid can increase your chances of obtaining it.

Defiance of Yasmin

Weapon Name Defiance of Yasmin
Weapon Type Sniper Rifle Sniper Rifle
Tier Rank Tier-A A (PvE+PvP)
Slot Kinetic Kinetic
Ammo Special Special
Archetype Adaptive Frame
Rarity Legendary
Is this weapon worth farming? Despite sniper rifles not always being at the top of the meta, Defiance of Yasmin excels past the majority of its competition in all areas of the game. It has relatively potent perks that allow it to excel in situations that favor sniper rifles over their competition. In PvP, it has the stats and perks to hold its ground pretty well against other top choices.
How to Get it Defiance of Yasmin can obtain it randomly from the Warpriest, Daughters, and Oryx encounters, or purchase it for 20 Spoils of Conquest at the end-of-raid vendor. It also has an Adept (Harrowed) edition obtainable from the raid’s Master difficulty.

Doom of Chelchis Void Scout Rifle

Doom of Chelchis

Weapon Name Doom of Chelchis
Weapon Type Scout Rifle Scout Rifle
Tier Rank Tier-A A (PvE), Tier-B B (PvP)
Slot Void Void
Ammo Primary Primary
Archetype Precision Frame
Rarity Legendary
Is this weapon worth farming? Doom of Chelchis is typically found in the same category as every other scout rifle, rarely seeing use beyond the occasional Grandmaster Nightfall. In terms of its perk pool, Doom of Chelchis is actually relatively unique. With Explosive Payload, Firefly, and Vorpal Weapon all in the first column, the weapon can excel slightly beyond its direct competition, including the Hung Jury SR4 (but not the Polaris Lance).
In PvP, Doom of Chelchis (and scout rifles as a whole) are simply outclassed by other options. While Explosive Payload and Eye of the Storm can help it win in one-on-one duels, there are so many better options out there that we can’t recommend this one.
How to Get it For Doom of Chelchis specifically, you’ll find the weapon in the Gate (opening), Totems, Golgoroth, and Oryx encounters. Additionally, an Adept (Harrowed) variant of the weapon can be obtained from the raid’s Master version, offering upgraded perks, enhanced stats, and unique mods.

Tier Rank Tier-B B (PvE+PvP)
Slot Stasis Stasis
Ammo Heavy Heavy
Archetype High-Impact Frame

Is this weapon worth farming? While Qullim’s Terminus won’t hinder your gameplay, there are better alternatives available. Its high-impact frame and Stasis element don’t offer significant advantages, making it less desirable compared to other machine guns like Commemoration.
How to Get it Qullim’s Terminus can be obtained from the King’s Fall raid. It drops from the Totems, Golgoroth, and Oryx encounters. After obtaining your first copy, it can also be found in secret chests and purchased from the end-of-raid vendor for 20 Spoils of Conquest. The Adept (Harrowed) variant can be obtained from the Master difficulty version of King’s Fall.

Smite of Merain

Weapon Name Smite of Merain
Weapon Type Pulse Rifle Pulse Rifle
Tier Rank Tier-B B (PvE+PvP)
Slot Kinetic Kinetic
Ammo Primary Primary
Archetype Adaptive Frame
Rarity Legendary
Is this weapon worth farming? While it has unique perks and can be effective, it is outclassed by other options due to its lack of elemental affinity and mediocre adaptive frame. It is worth farming if you are looking for something different, but there are better alternatives available.
How to Get it Smite of Merain can be obtained from the Warpriest, Daughters, and Oryx encounters in the King’s Fall raid. Zaouli's Bane

Weapon Name Zaouli’s Bane
Weapon Type Hand Cannon Hand Cannon
Tier Rank Tier-S S (PvE), Tier-B B (PvP)
Slot Solar Solar
Ammo Primary Primary

Is this weapon worth farming? Yes, especially for PvE. It has received significant buffs and synergizes well with Season of the Wish’s artifact perks. In PvP, it’s decent but not outstanding.
How to Get it Drops from the King’s Fall raid, specifically from the last three encounters: Golgoroth, Deathsingers, and Oryx. Farming on the Deathsinger’s encounter is recommended for a better chance at the drop.
