D2 Crota’s End Loot Guide

Crota’s End is a Destiny 2 raid originally from the first game, reintroduced in Season of the Witch on September 1, 2023. In this raid, Guardians return to the Hellmouth on the Moon to face the Hive and their resurrected leader, Crota, Son of Oryx. The raid features challenging encounters, dark atmospheric environments, and mechanics that test teamwork and coordination.

This D2 raid includes 4 main encounters that drop exclusive Legendary weapons, unique Crota’s End armor sets (you can see their designs for each class below), and the Exotic Scout Rifle, Necrochasm.

To get Necrochasm in Destiny 2:

1. Complete the Crota’s End Raid – This is required to start the quest for Necrochasm.
2. Collect Essence of the Oversoul – Defeat Crota and other bosses in the raid to gather these materials.
3. Upgrade the Husk of the Pit – Use the Essence of the Oversoul to transform the Husk of the Pit into Necrochasm.
4. Finish the Quest – Complete the final steps to unlock Necrochasm and its full potential.

Crota’s End also offers the following collectibles:

• Crota’s Exile Exotic Sparrow: Complete all encounter challenges in the Master tier of “Crota’s End.” Conquest By Virtue.
• War’s Lament Exotic Ship: Complete the Master tier of “Crota’s End.” Broken Throne.
• Catalyst: To get the Necrochasm catalyst, complete additional objectives in the raid, such as defeating enemies with precision hits or using Necrochasm in specific encounters. The catalyst enhances the weapon’s performance by increasing its stability and improving its cursed thrall explosion effect.

Is Crota’s End Farmable?

You can farm Crota’s End in two ways: by using Spoils of Conquest at the raid vendor or running the raid when it’s the featured weekly raid.

Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to farming the CE raid:

Step 1: Prepare for the Raid

• Fireteam: Gather a team of 6 players. Use LFG (Looking for Group) tools if needed.
• Loadout: Bring strong weapons like Sleeper Simulant, Divinity, or Legendary swords for boss damage. Use SMGs or grenade launchers for clearing adds.

Step 2: Farm When Crota’s End is the Featured Raid

• Weekly Raid: Crota’s End is fully farmable when it’s the weekly featured raid. Check the weekly reset to see if it’s featured.
• Run Multiple Times: When featured, you can run the raid multiple times on the same character to farm loot from each encounter.

Step 3: Use Spoils of Conquest

• Chest: After defeating Crota, a chest called the Cache of the Oversoul appears.
• Spend Spoils: Spend 20 Spoils of Conquest per item to purchase weapons or armor you’ve already unlocked.
• Farm Spoils: Get Spoils by running other raids or completing encounters in Crota’s End.

Step 4: Find Hidden Chests

• First Hidden Chest: Located after the first encounter, in the Abyss section.
• Second Hidden Chest: Found after the second encounter, in the Bridge section.
• Rewards: These chests drop mods and gear you’ve already earned.

Step 5: Complete Challenges for Better Rewards

• Weekly Challenges: Each encounter has a weekly challenge that increases your chances of getting Deepsight Resonance weapons and improves Exotic drop rates.
• Extra Loot: Complete the weekly raid challenge for extra loot.

Is this weapon worth farming?	Necrochasm is a powerful Exotic Auto Rifle that excels in both PvE and PvP. Its unique perk, Cursebringer, causes enemies to explode on precision kills, making it great for add-clear and crowd control.
How to Get it?	To start the quest, you must first complete the raid and acquire the Husk of the Pit auto rifle from the raid vendor. Kill 100 Hive enemies with Husk of the Pit, and bonus progress is earned for Hive kills in Crota’s End. Collect 25 Cursed Thrall explosions. After collecting, you can turn in the quest and receive Necrochasm.
