Zul'Gurub is a 20-man raid that was first introduced in World of Warcraft Classic. It was the first 20-man raid of its kind. It was designed as a "catch-up" raid, offering powerful gear that was significantly easier to get than similar pieces from the Molten Core and Blackwing Lair (BWL). The raid is non-linear, meaning that the final boss can be accessed and defeated before all the other bosses in the instance are defeated. Zul'Gurub was the capital city for the Gurubashi Trolls, but it was destroyed by civil war and corruption. Centuries later, Atal'ai Priests have returned to the city, planning to use it for their purposes.
